Parcels

I just love receiving parcels, especially when I am not expecting them.  Although with G.’s prolific addiction to Amazon books, I now rarely get excited when I see the parcel boy (really he’s just a boy, I’m not sure how he got his driving licence). However I just opened a lovely packaged addressed to ME and found this very neatly wrapped something:

I was even more pleased to unwrap The Colette Sewing Handbook as a belated birthday present from my in-laws! I’ve been eyeing this up for several weeks now and am excited to dive in. I’m hoping to learn a few new tricks, and reinforces a few old ones. Eek!

I’m in the midst of several job applications so not getting to devote quite all my time to my sewing pursuits this week. Although using my trusty egg timer, I get  a half hour sewing break every so often and am quickly putting together my second ‘It tastes like summer dress’.
