Knitting Diaries – sunshine

After yesterdays marathon of sewing, attempting to do the trouser challenge, I wasn’t much up for getting my machine out and starting a new project. I especially wan’t up for working quickly.

Then I looked outside and saw the glorious sunshine and a bright idea (no pun intended) popped into my head. So I bundled myself up, made myself a cup of coffee and heading into the garden with my knitting.

Over the last week I haven’t had much time to knit, and had only added two rows since I last updated my Knitting Diaries. Also as the rows are getting longer, its taking much more than my previous 20 odd minutes per set (I refer to 1 row adding stitches and 1 row purl as a set – is there a proper knitting term for it?). So today, basking in sunshine I was quite pleased to do I think 4 more sets. That took me a wopping almost three hours (though I did stop for multiple sips of coffee and had to recount a few times cause I got distracted).

In the end I called it a day when my fingers got cold enough that I was dropping stitches. No matter, its now progressing at my usual snail pace (which after yesterday doesnt bother me in the least) plus I got to enjoy the sunshine!

  1. What a gorgeous day it was yesterday (although not as gorgeous as you in your hat with your knitting lol) I’m so glad you made the most of it sitting outside. You are too cute in that pic haha
