Well week two is upon me. And I have to admit I had a little less enthusiasm for it to start with. This is mainly because I’d been feeling a bit under the weather at the beginning of the week and would like to have worn sweatpants and a hoody. But of course I have no me-made sweatpants and hoodies, nor is it appropriate office wear. But it has highlighted another lesson. When I’m a bit under the weather I don’t want to wear bright prints and complicated tops (I equate buttons with complicated in this context). I want simple, comfortable (yet nice looking) block color tops and bottoms. And I have none. Lesson to self: invest in some simple, plain and comfortable tops.
Monday is an adaptation of Simplicity 2363 (a dress pattern) which I love and have shortened to make a few tops.
Tuesday is Butterick skirt B5466 I made this spring out of some great stretchy jean fabric.
Wednesday is an old favourite: Butterick B5354 out of a Liberty print jersey.
Thursday is one of my first dresses I made as an adult: New Look 6968 out of a Liberty print lawn I got off of ebay.
Friday is Vogue Easy Options dress (V8184), which incidentally is the first item of clothing I ever blogged about (almost exactly two years ago!)
Saturday morning was a lazy day, and I wore a self drafted maxi skirt, made from bamboo jersey!
And finally today, Sunday, I am at last in my sweatpants and Vogue V8597.
