In June I participated in every weekly contest for IPM2015 and it was great fun! I’ve discovered some great new Indie designers and seamstresses/bloggers in the process. Plus I won some great prizes – thanks to everyone who voted for me.

During week one (theme: dresses) for My Ruby Dress. I won a gift certificate for 5 Lekala patterns.

I’ve never used a Lekala pattern but am pretty excited – you add your measurements and the pattern you get is specifically tailored to you! How brilliant is that? Great for me as I often combine three sizes. The patterns I chose (after 3 weeks of changing my mind) were these:

During week 2 (theme: separates) for my Maritime shorts & Sorbetto top I won a Sewaholic PDF pattern of my choice and a Named PDF pattern of my choice. Again I’ve never used either of these designers. In the end I decided to challenge myself with the Robson Coat and the Alpi Chinos.

I’m quite excited to get cracking on all of these, but after a month of sewing for myself I have a few projects for other people that  I need to focus on (well after I finish my 3rd Datura blouse – which of course was an absolute necessity this weekend).

  1. Well done on completing every week of the challenge – and with such lovely makes! Congratulations on your prizes, I love those Chino’s you’ve picked, I haven’t seen them before. I look forward to seeing these patterns made up!

    1. Thanks Kathryn! I’m quite excited about the chinos, may have to head up to the market though to get the right fabric to test them on! 😉
