Another Laurel

15 Nov

As I had the pattern all ironed and the fabric on hand, I figured I get on with making yet another Laurel. I’ll spare you the commentary this time aside from saying that I made this dress as size 4 apart from the bust and above which is a 2, and used the same reconfiguration of the bust darts as last time. Alas I didn’t do such a brilliant job with the interlining so it hangs a bit funny. Plus I’ve realised that while its not a terribly short dress, if I reach above my head my bottom very nearly makes an appearance. But I added pockets! Hurrah for pockets!

Yes, pockets in skirts and dresses are grand! Cute fabric. You got a really nice fit there too!

Thanks, having made it a few times I’m pretty pleased with the fit of this last one. Pockets are the best aren’t they – they make life so much better!
