Week 4 – Me Made May

Umm where the hell did May go? The last week of MMM flew by and though I managed to wear my own garments expert for the last two days (which I actually thought was the begining of June). But they were all things I’ve worn at least once in the last month:the Linden Sweatshirt and Kirsten Kimono Tee; Anna Tunic (mini dress version), Puffins Linden Sweatshirt and Ginger Jeans; and Butterick 5354 (version B) among them.

When I’m not feeling tip top I really gravitate towards easy to wear clothes, with a preference for borning and block colors. This is not a strong point of my me-made wardrobe!

Last year I struggled on weekends to find comfy me-made things, this year its the really smart me-made things I need. Plus outfits as alot of my me-made tops and bottoms dont go together.

I’ve also gotten alot more fussy about my fits, so some of my older garments I’m not not impressed by my sewing and fitting so they just dont get worn. I also noticed a number of garments that just plain are too small (cause i made then 7 years ago and lets face it I’m never going back to that size). So I’ve been able to clear things out without feeling guilty and hope that someone else, picking them up at the charity shop, gets a bit of joy from them.

Really the featured image should say hurrah I completed #MMMay2016.
